Being the simpler way of legalising documents, the apostille is recognised in countries that have signed the Apostille Convention, also called the Hague Convention. As well as the member states of the European Union, an apostille will also suffice in other European countries such as Norway, Great Britain, Switzerland, Ukraine and Iceland. Authentication by way of an apostille is also accepted in other countries, such as the USA, Turkey, India, Australia, Mexico and others.
